The idea for YARETA was born in 2020, driven by a desire to create an exploration-focused experience, free of combat, where players could immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and unravel a deep narrative. Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of South American highlands and the legends surrounding ancient civilizations, the developers wanted to craft a world that felt both mystical and grounded. After years of conceptualization and planning, formal development began in 2023. The project has been nurtured by a small but passionate team, all dedicated to creating meaningful and meditative gameplay experiences.
